True, biomass is considered as a renewable source of energy as its inherited energy comes from the sun.

  • As trees take up the carbon dioxide and provide oxygen and convert this solar energy into the biomass and then die. The same energy is released back to the atmosphere. The US has 227 biomass plants in operation and they produce this energy similar to that of the natural sun in a more short duration this energy is used to create fuels that have sustainable impacts.
  • It can thermally, chemically, biochemically and electrochemically converted. Thereby releasing most of the carbon content to the air. Forest created biomass is at times criticized for GHG gases.  
  • Based on feels biomass fuels are classified into two generations as those from no food-based matter and those from sugarcane and corn scratch. Thereby has huge potential as a resource base.
