Okay since this triangle is an isosceles triangle line AC and BC are congruent, meaning they’re equal length. Therefore, the equation to solve for X is...
20 = 3x - 7
27 = 3x
X = 9
Incase you want to find what line BC equals you just plug x into the equation so..
3(9) - 7 = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A

Circumference formula:

 • C = 2πr = πd

Find π:

 • 25.12 = 8π ⇒ π = 25.12/8 ⇒ π = 3.14
 • 9.42 = 3π ⇒ π = 9.42/3 ⇒ π = 3.14

Part B

Area formula:

 • A = πr² = πd²/4

Find π:

 • 50.24 = π*8²/4 ⇒ 50.24 = 16π ⇒ π = 50.24/16 ⇒ π = 3.14
 • 7.065 = π*3²/4 ⇒ 7.065 = 9π/4 ⇒ π = 4*7.065/9 ⇒ π = 3.14

Part C

 • The value of π is same - 3.14 from each case we have

URGENT PLEASE convert y = -5/6x -9 to standard slope form
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

6y + 5x = -54

Step-by-step explanation:

y = m x + b -> slope-intercept form

ax + by = c -> standard form

y = - \frac{5}{6} x - 9

6y = -5x - 54

6y + 5x = -54

The ratio of the number of tomato plants in Inessa’s garden to the number of tomato plants in Ralph’s garden was 5:6. After 1/2
Talja [164]
Let "x" represent the number of units
5x = the number of tomato plants in Inessa's garden
6x = the number of tomato plants in Ralph's garden

the question says that half (1/2 x (5x)) of Inessa's tomato plants are taken from her garden and put into Ralph's garden
this means that Ralph has a total of 850 tomato plants in his garden

using all of this information, we get the following (which we have to solve):
(1/2)(5x) + 6x = 850

when we solve for "x", we find that:
"x" = 100

so, going back to the original statement, if Ralph started out with (6x) tomato plants, and "x" = 100, we have to multiply 6 by 100

doing so gives us our final answer:
Ralph had 600 tomato plants in the beginning

I hope this helps! :D
