What is the tone in the crab that played with the sea

When repetition is used as a literary element, it is done so for the sake of emphasizing something. When the word “lazy” is spoken by the Eldest Magician in the story, it is out of anger at that the man was complaining that he would have to row home without the help of the crab’s great wave. It was this action—the laziness of the man—that angered the Eldest Magician. As such, repetition of the word “lazy” means the tone is angry as it highlights what made the Eldest Magician angry.

Simple or compound? The doctor determined the cause of Gina’s health problem.
LuckyWell [14K]

Hello!

This is a simple sentence. It is simple because it only contains one subject and one predicate.

Often times, compound sentences are built up of two simple sentences.

For example, a simple sentence would be "John ate a banana." A compound sentence would be "John ate a banana and he threw away the peel." This is a compound because both "John ate a banana" and "He threw away the peel" are simple sentences that combine with each other to create a compound. The word "and" is used as a conjunction to connect the two simple sentences together.

I hope this helps you!
