Find the value of this expression: 0.4(0.6+3.2)÷2

The first step would be taking 0.4 times 0.6 which would give you 0.24. Now take 0.4 times 3.2 which would give you 1.28. Divide 1.28 by 2 because your equation would look like 0.24+3.2 ÷2. Remember PEMDAS which means parentheses, , multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. So 3.2 ÷ 2 is 1.6. Lastly add 0.24 and 1.6 which would equal 1.84.

Or it could be adding the numbers in the parentheses which would give 3.8, then divide by 2 which you would get 1.9 and now add 0.4. Then your final answer would be 2.3.

Hope this helps

5=97 find 2 and 4....................,,..,...
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

∠ 2 = ∠ 4 = 83°

Step-by-step explanation:

∠ 2 and ∠ 5 are same- side interior angles and sum to 180° , that is

∠ 2 + 97° = 180° ( subtract 97° from both sides )

∠ 2 = 83°

∠ 2 and ∠ 4 are vertical angles and are congruent, then

∠ 4 = 83°

Arrange the following in ascending order<br><br><br><br> 3/4 , -1/3 , 1/-2 , 3/10
Over [174]

Answer:

Ans: 1/-2 , -1/3 , 3/10 , 3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

The LCM of 2, 3, 4 and 10 is 60.

Let's make denominator equal,

→ 3/4 , -1/3 , 1/-2 , 3/10

→ 3×15/4×15 , -1×20/3×20 , -1×30/2×30 , 3×6/10×6

→ 45/60 , -20/60 , -30/60 , 18/60

Now we can order in ascending,

→ -30/60 , -20/60 , 18/60 , 45/60

→ 1/-2 , -1/3 , 3/10 , 3/4 {final answer}

A triangle with exterior angles is shown. A triangle sits on a line and forms 2 exterior angles on the left and right of the tri
NARA [144]

Answer:

Option 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that a triangle sits on a line and forms 2 exterior angles on the left and right of the triangle of (2h) degrees.

The top interior angle of the triangle is 40 degrees.

\angle BAC=40

From the given figure it is clear that

\angle ABC+2h=180               (Supplementary angle)

\angle ABC=180-2h

\angle ACB+2h=180               (Supplementary angle)

\angle ACB=180-2h

According to the angle sum property of triangle, the sum of all interior angles of a triangle is 180 degree.

\angle ABC+\angle ACB+\angle BAC=180

(180-2h)+(180-2h)+40=180

Combine like terms.

(180+180+40)+(-2h-2h)=180

400-4h=180

-4h=180-400

-4h=-220

Divide both sides by -4.

h=\frac{-220}{-4}

h=55

The value of h is 55.

Therefore, the correct option is 3.

lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

Exponential function; y=120(\frac{1}{2})^x.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that a tennis tournament starts with 120 players. During each round of the game, half of the players are eliminated from the tournament.

We can see that the change in number of eliminated players is not constant. The number of players in tournament is decreasing exponentially. Therefore, an exponential function best models the relationship between the number of players in the tournament, y, and the game round, x.

We know that exponential decay function is in form y=a(b)^x, where,

y = Final amount,

a = Initial amount,

b = Decay factor,

t = Time

Since during each round of the game, half of the players are eliminated from the tournament, so decay factor would be \frac{1}{2}.

Initially there were 120 players, so a=120.

Therefore, our required equation would be y=120(\frac{1}{2})^x.
