Y = 4x - 1
y = 3x + 6
=====
4x - 1 = 3x + 6
4x - 3x = 6 + 1
x = 7

y=4x - 1
y=4 x 7 - 1 = 27

x=5
y=27

What is the average rate of change of the function
Reptile [31]

Answer:

Average rate of change =-35.7084

Step-by-step explanation:

Given function is f(x)=480(0.3)^x and we need to find average rate of change of the function from x=1\ to\ x=5.

Average rate of change =\frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}

So,

here\ b=5\ and\ a=1\\f(5)=480(0.3)^5\\=480\times0.00243=1.1664\\and\\f(1)=480(0.3)^1\\=480\times0.3=144

Average rate of change

=\frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}\\\\=\frac{f(5)-f(1)}{5-1}\\\\=\frac{1.1664-144}{5-1}\\\\=\frac{-142.8336}{4}= -35.7084

Hence, average rate of change of the function f(x)=480(0.3)^x over the intervel x=1\ to\ x=5 is =-35.7084.

Which set of values could be the side lengths of a 30-60-90 triangle?
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

The correct answer is option B which is the set of values that could be the side lengths of a 30-60-90 triangle are (6,6√3, 12).

<h3>What is the right-angled triangle?</h3>

A triangle has three angles of 30-60 and 90 degrees in which the two sides are perpendicular to each other.

The three sides of the triangle will be calculated by applying the Pythagorean theorem:-

The sum of the square sides will be equal to the square of the third side.

For sides  (6,6√3, 12)

12² = 6² + (6√3)²

144 = 36 + (36 x 3)

144 = 36 + 108

144 = 144

Therefore the correct answer is option B which is the set of values that could be the side lengths of a 30-60-90 triangle (6,6√3, 12).
