The vertex is (-3.5, -4.5). You can see this values right in the equation because it is in vertex form.

The axis of symmetry will go vertically through the vertex, so it is x = -3.5.

The zeros are (-5, 0) and (-2, 0). You can find those by graphing it or setting the left side equal to 0 and solving for x.

What is the simplest form of the expression 6x(x − 4) − 16x2 − (9x − 1)
Sedbober [7]
Use distributie property which is
a(b+c)=ab+ac
therefor
6x(x-4)=6x^2-24x

distribute the negative 1 infroont of the (9x-1)
-1(9x-1)=-9x+1
now we have

6x^2-24x-16x^2-9x+1
gropu like terms
6x^2-16x^2-24x-9x+1
add like terms
-10x^2-33x+1 is simplest form

Make x the subject:<br>y= (x+10)^2
Elis [28]

Answer:

x = - 10 ± \sqrt{y}

Step-by-step explanation:

y = (x + 10)² , or

(x + 10)² = y ( take square root of both sides )

x + 10 = ± \sqrt{y} ( subtract 10 from both sides )

x = - 10 ± \sqrt{y}

Which of the following are identities? Check all that apply. A. cot2x + 1 = csc2x B. tan2x = 1 - sec2x C. sin2x = 1 + cos2x D. s
kirill115 [55]

I'll assume those are squares.  We know D is an identity:

\sin^2 x + \cos ^2 x = 1

Dividing through by \sin ^2 x

1 + \cot^2 x = \csc^2 x

That's A.

Dividing the original through by \cos ^2 x

\tan^2 x + 1 = \sec^2 x

Not quite B, wrong sign on tangent.

C has the wrong sign on cosine squared as well.
