Tara and friends order a pizza. Tara eats 3 of the 10 slices and pays $4.20 for her share. Assuming that Tara has paid at least
lana [24]

Answer:The inequality is

x greater than or equal to(>/=) 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the possible cost of the full pizza. Tara eats 3 of the 10 slices and pays $4.20 for her share. This means that the amount of pizza that Tara ate is 3/10×x = 3x/10

Assuming that Tara has paid at least her fair share, therefore

3x/10 = 4.20

3x = 4.20 ×10 = 42

x = 42/3 = 14

This means that the total cost of the pizza is at least $14. The inequality

how much the pizza could have cost becomes

x greater than or equal to(>/=) 14

Solve the system by elimination

x+3y=5

-x-y=-3
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

x = 2 y= 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve the system by elimination by stacking the equations lining up the variables.

x + 3y = 5

-x - y = -3

Next, add each of the like terms.

    x + 3y = 5

+  -x - y = -3

-----------------------

   0x + 2y = 2

            y = 1

Then substitute y = 1 into one of the equations.

x + 3(1) = 5

x + 3 = 5

x = 2

PLEASE HELP!!! When baking a cake you can choose between a round pan with a 12 in. diameter and a 8 in.×11 in. rectangular pan.
Burka [1]
A) to work out area of a circular pan you use 3.14 x R^2 so the area would be 3.14x(6)^2, which gives us 113.04in^2. The rectangular pan has area 8x11 which is 88in^2.
B) to work out volume you multiple the areas by the depth. So the circular one is 226.09in^3 and the rectangular one is 176in^3.
C) this means that the circular pan has a larger volume
Hope this helped and sorry if anything is wrong :)
