While the European expansion overseas during the late fifteenth, early sixteenth centuries relied on previously existing technologies to some extent, it was significantly more dependent on new technologies. This is evident when we look at the type of technology that explorers relied on the most. These items include the astrolabe, the magnetic compass, the caravel, the sextant and Mercator's projection, all of which were examples of new technology developed during the Age of Exploration.

Lunna [17]

Answer:

The Battle Siege of Vicksburg, Mississippi, was the end of a long land and naval military campaign by Union forces to capture a key strategic position during the American Civil War.

This strategic town is situated on a 200-foot bluff above the Mississippi River, where the river traffic could be monitored. Capturing the town cut the Trans-Mississippi Confederacy transit from the east of the Mississippi River and open the river to Northern traffic.

Why are “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” significant to WWII?
Naddika [18.5K]
Little Boy and Fat Man were the code names of the atomic uranium bombs droped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in response to the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was these bombings that prompted Japan to surrender to the Allied Powers, bringing a much quicker end to WWII.
