The south lost the civil war and eventually had to free their slaves but then even after this was set in place either they did not let their slaves go still or the slaves stayed anyway because they had no where else to go no job, health, or food source. Help that helps.

The economic consequences of the American Civil War (1861–1865) are largely due to Northern control of the federal government during and for several decades after the War. During the sectional debates over the tariff and the expansion of slavery that characterized the thirty years before the War, the North had been forced to forgo or compromise several of its national economic policy objectives because of Southern opposition and the strong position the Southern states held in the Senate. As soon as the Southern states seceded and the legislators resigned their seats in Congress, the legislators from the North and West began enacting this delayed agenda, while simultaneously prosecuting the War. Northern victory in the War insured their continuing control of the federal government and implementation of their economic policies.

Hope this helps.

Paladinen [302]

The correct answers are C) The Senate must pass the exact same bill on the floor as the House and D) A bill passed in one chamber that is changed in committee in the second chamber, must both approve the conference report for any changes made to the original bill passed.

For a bill to pass both chambers (the House of Representatives and the Senate are called chambers), the following must occur: The Senate must pass the exact same bill on the floor as the House and a bill passed in one chamber that is changed in committee in the second chamber, must both approve the conference report for any changes made to the original bill passed.

In the United States, a bill becomes law following these steps:

First, a member of Congress introduces a bill. The piece of legislation is referred to as the appropriate committee. Then, it is placed on the calendar of the house to be debated. This is when the bill gets to the Floor. The House of Representatives debated and the n, the Senate debate. If there are differences, a conference committee meets and reach an agreement. Then Congress passes the bill to the Executive to sign it. The President can veto the bill and is returned to Congress. If the President signs the bill, it became law.

How did the allies win the battle of the Atlantic ?
podryga [215]

Answer:

The battle of the Atlantic was the naval warfare in the Atlantic Ocean between the German Kriegsmarine and the Allies' navies. The German Kriegsmarine had two categories: the Unterseefloat, which contained U-Boats (a type of German submarine), and the HochSeeFleet which contained the Capital ships, cruisers, and destroyers. The U-Boats were the main danger, as many Allied convoys had no escorts at the beginning of the war. The HochSeeFleet lost its pride, the Bismarck, on its maiden voyage, and never saw the success the Submarines did. Eventually, the battle of the Atlantic was won because of Germany's neglection of the navy, focusing all of it's resources to the land wars. Special sonar technology eventually made U-Boats much less scary, as they could be detected.

Bold is why the Allies won.
