Answer:

Velocity

Explanation:

The weather station is usually defined as a device that is used in order to determine the weather condition of a particular area by collecting meteorological information and data.

It is comprised of various measuring devices such as thermometer, barometer, which helps in measuring the atmospheric temperature and pressure.

In the given condition, the weather station has issued a tornado warning, that is moving in the northwest direction at a speed of 30 miles/hour. This provided information describes the velocity of the tornado, as from this data a meteorologist can determine in which direction and at what speed the tornado is moving. Prediction can be made from this data.

Oceanic crust spreads at ____1_______, creating new crust and slowly enlarging the ocean basin. _____2_______ are deep valleys a
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

 • 1. Mid-ocean ridges.
 • 2. Submarine canyons.
 • 3. Turbidity currents.
 • 4. Continental volcanic arcs.
 • 5. Volcanic island arcs.

Explanation:

 • The new oceanic crusts are created in the mid-oceanic ridges and the oceanic submarine canyons are those that are enlarged by sedimentary basins and the occurrence of the turbidity of the current leads to the formations of sediment-laden water and that rapidly moves down the continental slopes and has vertical walls.
 • The continental arcs form in the areas of the continental zones and here the continental crust gets subducted. And in a similar way, the volcanic islands arcs are formed in the oceans.

Why is tidal wave a bad name for an enormous wave generated by an earthquake
Andreas93 [3]
Hi. "Tidal wave" suggests a wave associated with the ebbs and flows related to the relative positions of the earth, moon and sun. These rises and falls relative to mean sea level are periodic and easily predictable. But the enormous wave generated by an earthquake is probably even less easy to predict than an earthquake and of no regular (that is, periodic) recurrence that anyone knows of. But I think "tsunami" is not too bad a name for such earthquake-generated waves as tsunami does not suggest any strong link with the relative positions of the earth, moon and sun.
