The plastic and its usage has its supporters and critics, with both making good points, as the plastic is a material that both has its big advantages, but also its big disadvantages.

The main advantages of the plastic is that it is very cheap, the products with it are very easy for production, and it can be recycled numerous times. Also, it is very easy and practical for usage.

The main disadvantages are that the plastic needs lot of time to dissolve, depending on the type of plastic it can be anywhere from few hundred to few thousands years. Also, when it disposes it releases a lot toxic chemicals into the soil, and those chemicals are very harmful for the living organisms.

Big problem is also that most of the plastic is not being recycled, but it is thrown away, so there's enormous plastic waste everywhere in the world. Big portion of it is burned, and by burning it lot of toxic chemicals are released into the air, and that causes lot of pollution.

Which of the following offspring genotypes could result from the fertilization of an egg that had undergone nondisjunction in me
Lorico [155]

Answer:

See explanation below

Explanation:

Non-disjunction occur as a result of lack of separation of homologous chromosomes during meiosis.

As a result, the gametes (the daughter cells formed) produced end up having extra or lesser chromosomes as compared to a normal gamete.

When a gamete with extra chromosome fertilizes a normal gamete, the resulting offspring will have an extra chromosome (trisomy condition).

On the other hand, when a gamete with one less chromosome than normal fertilizes a normal gamete, the resulting offspring will have one less chromosome than normal offspring (monosomy condition).

Assuming a chromosome with Aa gene undergoes non disjunction during meiosis, the resulting gametes either contain both A and a chromosome or contain no chromosome at all.

If Aa gamete is fertilized by a normal haploid sperm (a), the resulting zygote will have the genotype Aaa.

If a gamete with no chromosome at all fertilizes a normal haploid sperm, the resulting offspring will have the genotype a.
