Basically, when students do not manage their own time, they end up putting things off until the last minute which results in rushed work. Rushed work really only has one result: a low grade. When students manage their time, they spend less time doing the assignment in one sitting which allows the brain to rest, and it allows allow the student to put time and effort into the assignment.
