\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{-2}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{8})\qquad
(\stackrel{x_2}{4}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{12})
\\\\\\
slope = m\implies
\cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{12-8}{4-(-2)}\implies \cfrac{12-8}{4+2}\implies \cfrac{4}{6}\implies \cfrac{2}{3}

First of all the equation to find the slope between two points is y2 - y1 over x2 - x1. So, all plugged in, the equation would be 12 -8 over 4 - - 2 and you would end up with 4/6 as your slope.

How do I find the surface area and volume of any shape?
ipn [44]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:For any shape it’s always true that for volume

V

the surface area is:      =2‾‾‾√3

for some constant   depending on the shape. So to work out the surface area from the volume we just need to know the value of   for the shape in the question.

For a cube for example we have that  =6, assuming consistent units i.e.: unit 2 for area and unit 3

3

 for volume.

More generally if we have formula for both volume and surface area in terms of a particular one dimensional measurement

d

of the shape then we can always write these formula in the form:

=13

=12

for constants  constants   1  and  1

. Then we have:

=1‾‾‾√3

=1(1)2‾‾‾‾‾‾√3

=121‾‾‾√32‾‾‾√3

and therefore:

=121‾‾‾√3

For example for a sphere we have that   that  =42  and  =433 and therefore:

=4(43)2‾‾‾‾‾‾√3

=36‾‾‾‾√3

So if a particular sphere has volume   =8  then we can calculate its surface area to be:

=36‾‾‾‾√382‾‾√3=436‾‾‾‾√3 m2

The sum of three consecutive positive integers is a perfect cube. find the least possible value of the smallest number, assuming
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

  8,999,999

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of 3 consecutive integers will be 3 times the middle one. So, the cube will have factors of 3 and 100,000. The cube must have additional factors of 3² and 10, so will be 90×3×100,000 = 27,000,000.

Since the middle number is 9,000,000, the smallest number is 1 less:

  8,999,999
