Each tie costs $25.50, and each hat costs $6.00.

Because 51.00 divided by 2 equals 25.5 (which is the cost for a tie), and 25.5 times 3 equals 76.5. Then 88.50- 76.50 = 12, and 12/2 equals 6 which is the cost for each hat.

Setler79 [48]

Answer:

Men be 500

Women be 1000

And, the children be 4000

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation is shown below:

Let us assume the men be x

So the women be 2x

And, the children be 2x(4) i.e. 8x

Now according to the question

x + 2x +  8x = 5500

11x = 5500

x = 500

Men be 500

Women be 1000

And, the children be 4000
