This increase in agricultural productivity led to huge population increase which meant that not everybody could farm anymore. More people had to relocate to urban areas and join the workforce where along with the need for better machinery to speed up production, the Industrial Revolution happened.
They created a democracy untainted by wealth, privileged birth or corruption where every (eligible) citizen can take part in politics/ assembly.
