The surface usually has low pressure and warm temperatures, because the sun is hitting it more directly, heating it up more, and low pressure because less is pressing down on it.

The bottom of the ocean would have colder temperatures because the sun is hitting it less directly, and higher pressure because there is more water pressing down onto it.
