It got to an extent, that, a black person cannot attend same school with a whote kid and their resouces such as land was fully controlled by the white people.</em>

<em>This led to protest and Defiance Campaign in 1952 which was the first large-scale, multi-racial political mobilization against apartheid laws under a common leadership. The protest led to more than 8,000 trained volunteers going to jail for 'defying the unjust laws'.</em>
