The short story "Nameless , Tennessee", written by William Least Heat- Moon has a central idea and not a theme, because of all of the options:

it is a short story

it is a non-fiction text

there are only a few characters.

The story is written because of the unusual name of the place. The writer went there to talk to the residents about how they feel about the unusual name of their town. The author wanted us readers to know that there is more to a story than meets the eye. And the inhabitants gave their point of view of naming the place.

Annabel Lee by Edgar Allab Poe (summary interpretation)
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The symbolism is in the expression "In a kingdom by the sea"

Explanation:

Symbolism in literature is used as a figure of speech that uses a word, or an expression to represent a concept in a subjective way. We can give an example of symbolism in the stanza shown above, in the expression "In a kingdom by the sea".

That's because the speaker of the poem says that his beloved lived in an anonymous place, which he calls "kingdom by the sea". In literature, the sea is often used to represent the interior of the characters. In this case, when the speaker says Annabel Lee lives in kingdom by the sea and all she does is love him and be loved by him, it means that they were inside each other, because they lived for each other, without any concern.
