It is just creating sculpture heads (mainly) using terracotta .

Nok sculptures are African sculptures which emerged around 1000 BCE and lasted until around 300 CE. These were terracotta sculptures. Archaeologists believe these remaining terracotta sculptures may have been based on earlier wood sculptures as some of the sculptures show signs common in wood carvings.
