How did the war of 1812 shift james madison's views on nationalism, and how did it have an impact on his presidency?
Dmitry [639]
Because of the War of 1812, James Madison followed in Washington's steps and advocated economic nationalism. The War in his eyes showed that there is a need for a stronger federal government and that US had to have stronger military and better economy. How did colonization affect the lives of people in southeast asia ?
Montano1993 [528]
They are mixed with good and bad. I am from Thailand and we are proud to be an independent. We have never colonized by any countries.

If you talk to someone from the Philippines, they probably happy to be colonized by the American (I have no ideas why, but the Filipinos are weird--they don't love their country). Many do like the Spanish however...

If you talk to someone from Burmar, Laos, Cambodia. they probably oppose about the colonization because the French and the English had done nothing to their countries.
