In the Poem "Fire and Ice", what is Robert Frost talking about? How do desire and hate play into this poem?

He is saying the sins of humanity will destroy the world. Fire is desire, and Frost sides with them, saying that he is guilty of letting his desires control him, while Ice is hatred, which he says he would rather see the world end by desire than he would hatred.
