What is your question
Vast means too large to see and trunk less means Legs without a body. If referring to problems that is a figurative way of saying it is too large of a problem and being trunkless means no substance. And too many little things building up to too many things.

Why is it more important to pursue what makes you happy and passionate rather than a higher paycheck or better social status?

Answer:

In my experience you have two choices. You can either work during the week doing something you are not passionate about but make more money and do whatever you want on the weekends, or you can work for what you are passionate about 24/7  but make less money.

Personally I will pursue the second option because I feel that life is too short for me to live out my days in a box office.
