Racial discrimination would play a big role in social interactions. For example, let’s say that a racially discriminated male is applying for a job as a stock broker. Ten other white males are also applying for the same job. Most likely, one of the ten white males will be given the job. The racially discriminated male will most likely not be given the job solely because of the color of his skin. Another example could be a racially discriminated female is looking to purchase a new car. This female might be denied the purchase of a new car because she “is too poor”. This assumption is most likely based on her skin color. Applying to college could be another struggle for a racially discriminated individual. Colleges could not only look at an individual’s transcript, but also their race. Two individuals, one white and one racially discriminated, both earned all A’s on their transcript. The white male will most likely be accepted because of his race.

Answer: A

Explanation: In gothic literature everything is almost sad and gloomy. The atmosphere is intense and dark. There is also a lot of tension one way or another because a character might be fighting against the voices in his head, is a monster, or has dealings with the supernatural.
