It is made up of rice, beans, lentils, and your choice of meat. Menestra is a truly coastal, traditional, and popular Guayaquil. If you were to do only one thing in Guayaquil, our suggestion is to take a leisurely stroll along the Malecon 2000. This pleasant 2.5-kilometer riverfront promenade that not only takes in excellent views of the River of Guayas, but it winds its way through gardens, museums, monuments, restaurants, and shopping complexes. Another attraction to check out is La Perla, or "The Pearl" as it translates to in English. La Perla is the largest ferris wheel in South America. It soars 187 feet high above the city of Guayaquil, offering its riders an excellent view.
