Australia, for example, is a continent, but it is also a landmass. Asia, too is a landmass that is connected to other landmasses such as the European and African continents.

Landmasses can also be smaller. Greenland, for example, is much smaller than Australia and is considered an island, not a continent. But, it is a landmass.
