Explain totalitarianism in your own words.
slega [8]
Totalitarianism is just another form of dictatorial government. In a totalitarianistic government, complete loyalty and service to the state is required. Citizens do not have a say in the laws or taxes that are put on them. Hope this helps.

What is John Proctor's motivation in the crucible?
My name is Ann [436]

Answer: His main motivation was to be honest and authentic, but he also was motivated by the guilt and by his love for Elizabeth.

Explanation:

In the play, John was a farmer with a wife and children. He was known for being an honest man, and he sees himself as such despite being dishonest with his wife by practicing the adultery. During the play he is motivated to find falsehood and expose it (ex. Exposing the lies about the witchcraft and witch trials), he dislikes hypocrites, but he is one himself, that is why at the end, by refusing to save his own life with a lie, he is attempting to prove to himself that he is an honest person.

Why are graphics particularly useful in scientific texts?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

They are particularly useful because they help lay out the words in a visual manner.

Explanation:

“Graphics can be functional or artistic. The latter can be a recorded version, such as a photograph, or interpretation by a scientist to highlight essential features, or an artist, in which case the distinction with imaginary graphics may become blurred.”
