The great awakening made the colonists be able to gain their independence from great britain, which was a great way of being half way though thr american revolution

They were not treated well at all.some of their houses were vandalized or burned.others were beaten or got tar and feathered(thats when people stripped others of their clothes,poured hot tar on them and covered them with chicken feathers.)after the war the loyalists were kicked out of the country and went off to to british canada.
