Despite being aware of the disadvantages of junk food, why do we eat them?
nasty-shy [4]

The consumption of junk food can be explained in two ways: finances and comfort. With finances, junk food is generally cheaper than healthier foods, thus making unhealthy food more appealing, especially to families or individuals in tight financial situations. In regards to comfort, the consumption of tasty food releases chemicals in your brain like dopamine and seratonin (happy hormones) which then cause your brain to crave them more.
