Who became president of the French Republic in December 1848? Maximilien Robespierre Sun Yat-sen Friedrich Engels Louis Napoleon
Setler [38]

The man who became president of France in December 1848 was Prince Louis Napoleon Bonaparte.

He was 40 years old when he won the election. . He was a small reserved, enigmatic man with chestnut hair , brown beard and a pointed moustache.

He won one of the most remarkable victories in French History, though he had never held public office or distinguished himself in any worthwhile capacity. The nostalgic vote which carried him to power looked back to the greatness of France under his uncle, Napoleon I, whose name he carried and whose heir he claimed to be.

What event convinced Brahe that neither the heliocentric nor geocentric models were correct?
natali 33 [55]

The event that convinced Brahe that neither the Heliocentric nor the Geocentric models were correct was D. The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.

Who was Tycho Brahe?

Tycho Brahe was an astronomer famous for developing astronomical instruments and his accurate and comprehensive astronomical observations.

Trained as a lawyer, Brahe turned to astronomy in 1563 when he observed the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.

Brahe's observations of Jupiter and Saturn showed that existing astronomical tables produced under the Heliocentric and geocentric models were inaccurate.

What was the Heliocentric astronomical model?

In the Heliocentric astronomical model championed by Nicolaus Copernicus, the Sun lies at or near a central point of the solar system or the universe while other planets revolve around it.

What was the Geocentric astronomical model?

Under the geocentric model or Ptolemaic system, the Sun and other planets orbit Earth.

Thus, the event that convinced Brahe that neither the Heliocentric nor the Geocentric models were correct was D. The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
