Health assessment is very important and is the first step in the five steps of the nursing process that are being followed to uncover that exact medical need a patient may have and how they can be properly met in the health care setting.
It involves the gathering of data, medical history of the patient and that of the family and other history of surgical procedures that may have happened. When these assessment are being administered with a form that assesses only one part of a patient, then the assessment is termed “focused”
