To where in the sentence could you move the underlined prepositional phrase? Be sure you keep the same meaning.
zavuch27 [327]

It should be moved to the beginning of the sentence, that means, that it should be placed before "The motorcycles raced" (option A).

Explanation: "down the track" is a prepositional phrase. All prepositional phrases have no verbs nor subjects. These can be used as adjectives or adverbs. They can be placed either after the verb and at the begining of a sentence. When placed at the beginning of a sentence, it sounds more formal than the common structure composed of 'subject + verb + predicate' and this construction has to be followed by a comma.

In this case, the answer would be:

'Down the track, the motorcycles raced for the prize'.

NEED ASAP
Dafna1 [17]

The author word choice of using words like ardour and avidity made it clear that the gentleman got very much pleasure reading based on the definitions of the two words. In fact, it's not a great stretch to say he had an addiction since it got in the way of his basic needs which is what the first sentence was basically shouting at the reader. My interpretation is that the man was to much in his thoughts to take care of himself. From that I concluded that him trying to understand the absolute meaning of Don Belianis broke his fragile state; the only thing that keep the gentleman going was his joyful understanding of complex books, but he couldn't understand a author of a great book's writing.

What information does oneill reveal in the exchange between the steward and ben
Yuri [45]

The information that O'Neill reveals on the exchange between the steward and Ben is by setting the scene of the play through a dialogue between Ben and the Steward after the Steward exclaims that there is "ice, ice, ice... holding us for a nigh on a year.  According to the Steward, Captain Keeney refuses to turn back as the captain is determined to get more oil first. O’Neill points out that much of the play’s conflict originates from the relationship between the captain and the crew. O’Neill provides the first physical description of Mrs. Keeney although Ben and the Steward have previously outlined some of her personality traits and recent advances.
