Maya has earned high grades in honors algebra and is writing a letter to her principal asking to take other honors classes.
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

Based on my grades in honors algebra, I believe I would do well in other honors classes.

Explanation:

Since Maya is writing a letter to her principal it is necessary to maintain a certain level of formality during communication. The first answer has a somewhat rude, bossy tone to it.

The second answer although acceptable is still not considered formal enough; she is nearly expressing her wish to attend honors classes.

So the most suitable answer would be Based on my grades in honors algebra, I believe I would do well in other honors classes as it perfectly balances Maya`s previous experience, modest way of looking at the future improvement, not exaggerating with bragging with past results or promising more than she can do.
