Answer:

The correct answer is false

Explanation:

With the increasing popularity of photography experienced at the end of the 19th century, being influenced and influencing other art media. Although some artists from that time, mainly painters, were prejudice with that recent technique. Even the french writer and art critic Baudelaire has made hardish comments about the photography, considering it not an artistic act, as it’s relied on a piece of technical equipment. He declared that the camera would bring the end of the painting, as the artist's inscription wasn’t present.

But since the first experiments with photography, dated from the 1820s, this medium was adopted by many artists. It influenced the Impressionist movement a few years later, a movement whose weren’t accepted by art critics at that time too. Suddenly the photos were present in many bourgeoise houses and at the end of that century was the key factor for the movie theater origin.

With the popularization, by the beginning of the 20th century, photography was being incorporated by many avant-guard movements. As soon as photographers were specializing themselves in that technique, it was acquiring artistical features and wasn’t recognized as just a mechanic operation.  Dadaists and Surrealists made many photographic artworks, having Marx Ernst as one of the Surrealist biggest photographers.

Photography presents a versatile aspect that allows artists to use it whether for functional or artistic motives.

In contemporary art, photography is being used in a resignification way, as it’s associated with the new art media, as installations, digital art, and so on. Today, with digital camera and smartphones, new possibilities are being tested by artists.

1. It meant that they are flat, unlike 3-dimensional objects: you can place them on a table and one of their sides will be a like. This also means that they cannot show depth very well.

2: It means that it can create an illusion or an abstraction, that we can consider aesthetic. For example, while we enjoy drawings, which are 2-dimensional, it could be that we would consider their 3d-version scary

3: the limitation is that they cannot show depth. For example, an orange appears as a circle, not a sphere: so a part of the information is missing.
