Read this excerpt from “Down by the Salley Gardens” by William Butler Yeats.
ehidna [41]

Answer:

The statement that best describes the effect of rhythm is statement is the last statement. I say this because in the poem it says "In a field by the river my love and I did stand," to me that shows 2 people in love in a field by the river just standing there. The text also says "she bid me off easy... but I was young and foolish full of tears." That piece of text shows me that the girl in the relationship broke up with him and the boy was very sad.

Isolation: Minnie Wright is isolated from her friends and family by her controlling, abusive husband. This has devastating psychological effects on Minnie.

Justice: The men and women have different conceptions of justice. The men want Minnie to be convicted of murder, whereas the women hide the evidence that would have convicted Minnie out of respect for the years of abuse Minnie suffered.

Though its plot focuses on a single moral choice, that of Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters deciding whether or not to expose why Mrs. Wright killed her husband, Trifles is thematically complex.
