Imperialism is the act of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. In this stanza of the poem, the white colonial people will be put in power over the non-whites that are forced to join the imperialist country, mainly as slaves and low-class people. This would benefit the colonial people by giving them more power, slaves to own, and more land to live and farm on.
