Answer:

Today was my first time behind the wheel. My father was my instructor for the day, and he picked me up. We REVIEWED road signs and practiced turn signals before we started. I turned on the engine while MY FATHER MUTTERED INSTRUCTIONS. I stepped on the gas, checked my mirror, and crept through the parking lot. That was enough for my first day!"

Parallelism is the repetition of the same grammatical or sentence structure. It is important to do this in a list. When checking for parallel structure, it is important to look at the tenses of the verbs. In the passage the verbs need to be changed for correct parallel structure.

Based on the dreams that the speaker describes, it is reasonable to infer that the speaker is hopeful all people will experience
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

A. is hopeful all people will experience the same freedoms he enjoys.

Explanation:

Below is the excerpt from "I Dream a World" by Langston Hughes.

A world I dream where black or white,

Whatever race you be,

Will share the bounties of the earth

And every man is free,

Where wretchedness will hang its head

And joy, like a pearl,

Attends the needs of all mankind—

Of such I dream, my world!

The speaker in this poem actually infers that he is hopeful all people will experience the same freedoms he enjoys.

This can be seen from the concluding part of the excerpt where he said,

"Of such I dream, my world!"

This means it's actually something he is enjoying which he wants people to join - in his world.

"I Dream A World" is a poem written by Langston Hughes, an American writer of Harlem Renaissance. He made the African-Americans to have an experience of the subject of his writings.

The bluest eye people affected by white beauty
just olya [345]

racism

racism are complicated issues in The Bluest Eye. Unlike typical portrayals of racism, involving white hatred against blacks, The Bluest Eye primarily explores the issue of racism occurring between people of color. There are few white characters in Morrison's novel, and no major white characters, yet racism remains at the center of the text. Because the novel involves mostly black characters, "whiteness" exists on a spectrum. Race is not only defined by the color of one's skin, the shape of one's features, or the texture of one's hair, but also by one's place of origin, socioeconomic class, and educational background. "Whiteness" is associated with virtue, cleanliness, and value, while being black is associated with immorality, dirtiness, and worthlessness.

What is one way to appeal to ethos
fredd [130]
By showing the emotional aspect of an issue and evoking pitty<span>" would be the best option since appealing to ethos regards appealing to "ethics", and most people who would show pity would have a strong moral compass.
