Answer:

First, 3 units away from -7 could be, either -10 (when going to the left), or -4 (moving 3 to the right). Lastly, the opposite of the integer(s), (if opposite is meaning, if the third number is -10, then the "opposite" could be the positive number "10".? and/or the other third integer is -4, then the "opposite" could be its positive, or absolute value of the negative number, or just "4".  i.e. If given a " -4", then the absolute value of it is, +4.  Or, also can be written, |-4|, meaning, the absolute value of -4, equals +4, or 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

Draw a line straight across your paper (from left to right), then in the middle of the line, make a little mark straight up and down and label it 0 (zero).  To the right, each little mark made through the line, will be positive, and go up from zero "0" to 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, and so on... Usually making a standard size number line, mark and count up to about "10".

Next, from the middle "0", moving to the left, making small marks through the line, counting from "0", to 1, and 2 and 3 and so on, EXCEPT making all these numbers negative, until getting to "-10" on the number line.
