What are Fredrick Douglass position on slavery
n200080 [17]

Answer: Well He became a leader in the abolitionist movement, which sought to end the practice of slavery, before and during the Civil War. After that conflict and the Emancipation Proclamation of 1862, he continued to push for equality and human rights until his death in 1895.Following the Civil War, Douglass remained an active campaigner against slavery and wrote his last autobiography, Life and Times of Frederick Douglass. First published in 1881 and revised in 1892, three years before his death, the book covers events both during and after the Civil War.Douglass regarded the Civil War as the fight to end slavery, but like many free blacks he urged President Lincoln to emancipate the slaves as a means of insuring that slavery would never again exist in the United States.

What was the significance of the policy of salutary neglect? A) It was not an official British policy, and so it reflected a bre
Ugo [173]

Answer:

B) It allowed for the rise of independent political groups and practices in the British colonies.

Explanation:

Prime minister Robert Warpole introduced the policy of salutary neglect in order to ease restrictions and regulations, such as trade laws. By doing so, he found this a good initiative to make Britain focus on Europe's politic affairs and eventually become a world power.  The measure was a success on one side, since American colonies were now able to trade with other countries apart from Britain, investing their earnings in goods made by the British, and supplying them with raw material. But on the other, the colonies began to achieve their political and economic independence, which eventually would lead to revolution.

What would be the true answer that Videla did not give about the dictatorship in Argentina
kirill [66]

Answer:General Jorge Rafael Videla was the dictator who brought terror to his country in the second half of the 1970s, plunging it into a “dirty war” against subversion. At least 9,000 people were killed by armed forces under his direct command as president of the military junta which had seized power in March 1976. Videla always argued that he had merely been doing his duty. He claimed not only to have saved Argentina from political chaos, but to have defended “Western Christian civilisation” in its fight against communism. He remained unrepentant to his dying day, declaring in 1998 that “ I reject the accusations made against me and on the contrary call on behalf of the Argentine nation and its armed forces in particular, for the honour due to victory.”
