Read the passage from The Phantom Tollbooth. "And you are almost never right about anything," he said, pointing at the Humbug, "

and, when you are, it's usually an accident." "A gross exaggeration," protested the furious bug, who didn't realize that so much was visible to the naked eye. Which phrase from the passage helps the reader understand how the Humbug feels about Alec's perspective?

recycling your clothes . when talking about recycling ,people don't seem to consider the recycling of clothes
Rufina [12.5K]
Recycle brings up the image of shredded paper, chipped wood so it's use to recycle clothes may not lend itself to the best use for the word clothes.

I love the word "repurpose" for clothes or furniture. One can turn it into something else, such as using an old T-shirt to make a pillow or a dresser drawer to make a shelf. It's being given a new use with a new purpose.

ILL MARK U BRAINLIEST
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

The French military invested much of its hope in the Maginot Line, a defensive military border designed to be impervious to attack. When the Germans broke through this line, French defeat seemed certain, leading to France’s quick surrender.

Within this context, the French had a difficult time holding onto hope of resistance. Like the refugee mother at Vianne’s door clinging to her dead infant, those who clung to the hope of resisting Nazi power seemed foolishly optimistic. Thus, when Vianne and Isabelle hear the radio broadcast about the French surrender and Isabelle says she wants to continue fighting, Vianne insists that resistance is futile.
