ANSWER:

Bedrock and sediment is most susceptible to erosion if it is located in the turbulent part of the stream or the river.

EXPLANATION:

 • The turbulent part of the river is the one where the water velocity is high. This high water velocity carries away bedrock and sediment easily.
 • The edge where the bedrock and sediment is located tends to be very steep. This steepness makes it easy for the high velocity of water to carry away the bedrock and sediment.
 • This bedrock and sediment is also carried to greater distances because of the great speed of water.

castortr0y [4]

Explosive eruptions tend to build up composite volcanoes.

A composite volcano evolved over tens of thousands of years as a result of several eruptions. The composite volcano is built up through eruptions, layer by layer, until it reaches heights of thousands of meters. Lava may have formed some layers, while ash, rock, and pyroclastic flows may have formed others. A composite volcano can also accumulate significant amounts of thick magma, which can clog up inside the volcano and force it to erupt violently.

Composite Volcano are fueled by a conduit system that accesses a magma reserve deep within the Earth. This magma can erupt either from a sizable core crater at the volcano's summit or from a number of vents scattered throughout the flanks of the composite volcano.

Using complete sentences, explain what made the environment of the Aztec city Tenochtitlan unique. Identify at least two ways th
Morgarella [4.7K]

Tenochtitlan was unique because it was located in a lake, thus being built in a place totally surrounded by water.

Explanation:

The capital of the Aztecs was Tenochtitlan. This city was the center of power, and the center of pretty much everything in the Aztec society. This city was located in a unique environment though, more specifically in a lake.

After the Aztecs were defeated by their rivals, they escaped to an island in a lake. They started to live on this island, built a city, and despite the initial difficulties, they managed to survive and prosper. The city was named Tenochtitlan, and the city's location, initially being a huge challenge, turned out to be a big advantage, as being totally surrounded by water was an excellent natural defense.

The Aztecs started to engage in agriculture, and were constructing small pieces of land in the lake itself, cut through with small canals. Things provided them with enough food to sustain themselves. As the Aztecs were becoming more powerful, they started to attack and conquer the neighboring civilizations, eventually building an empire.

The empire was built on the basis of the Triple Alliance between:

 • Tenochtitlan
 • Texcoco
 • Tlacopan
