How do you solve this equation . Q=3a+5ac

A "solution" would be a set of three numbers ... for Q, a, and c ... that
would make the equation a true statement.

If you only have one equation, then there are an infinite number of triplets
that could do it.  For example, with the single equation in this question,
(Q, a, c) could be (13, 1, 2) and they could also be  (16, 2, 1).
There are infinite possibilities with one equation.

In order to have a unique solution ... three definite numbers for Q, a, and c ...
you would need three equations.

Solve the system by either elimination or substitution
Alex_Xolod [135]
The correct answer is A: x=2 and y=-3. Either method would work, but for example, let's use elimination. If you multiply the second equation by 5, you get: 10x +5y = 5. When you add both equations, you can then cross out both y terms. You are left with one equation that reads: 13x=26. Solving for x gives you 2. You can substitute 2 in for x in either equation and you will receive -3 for your y value.

A baker bakes 50 muffins. 1/5 of the muffins are chocolate chip. 1/2 of the muffins are blueberry. The rest are cinnamon. How ma
vitfil [10]

Answer:

15 muffins are cinnamon.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Number of muffins baked = 50 muffins

Chocolate chip muffins = 1/5 of 50 = \frac{1}{5}*50

Chocolate chip muffins = 10 muffins

Blueberry muffins = 1/2 of 50 = \frac{1}{2}*50

Blueberry muffins = 25

Cinnamon muffins = Muffins baked - chocolate chip muffins - blueberry muffins

Cinnamon muffins = 50 - 10 - 25

Cinnamon muffins = 50 - 35 = 15

Hence,

15 muffins are cinnamon.

I need the correct answer please
nikdorinn [45]
So first step is to simplify everything outside of the radicals.
6*2=12
:. The expression is
__ __
12*\| 8 * \| 2
Now we know that
__ __ __
\| 8 = \| 4 * \| 2

And
__ __
\| 2 * \| 2 = 2

And
__
\| 4 = 2

So if we incorporate what we know into the equation, we can figure it out.
So let's first expand the radical 8.
__ __ __
12*\| 4 * \| 2 * \| 2

Now by simplifying the radical four and combining the radical twos, we can get all whole numbers.
12*2*2
Which equals 48.
