For example,  they are always willing to take time to sit and chat and share a moment with others this thing is not always found in american culture because they are always rushing with the time. Some things in Nicaragua are a lot like the United States. For example, Physical contact is very common - shaking hands, a kiss on the cheek, a pat on the shoulder – these are socially acceptable forms of communication.

Three aspects of Nicaraguan culture that are similar to the United States are:

1. Catholicism

2. They bury their dead in cemeteries and funerals take place beforehand

3. Baseball is as popular there as it is here.

1. Catholic Church influence is strong in Nicaragua, about 58,5% of the population of Nicaragua is Catholic. In the United States, more than half of Americans are identified as Protestants.

2. Different than in the US, Nicaragua has a universal free healthcare system of its citizens. In the US there is no public health system, there are two public funds Medicare and Medicaid but they are designed to elderly, disabled and poor people.

3. Freedom of Speech in the central base of the American Democratic system. Different than Nicaragua that is facing a strong assault on freedom of speech and press freedom. The current government has been attacking the independent press.
