Maybe I’ll come to you in your dreams with my hair in braids and crying because the kitten in my arms is dead; maybe I’ll be the touch of a breeze that whispers to you as it goes by; maybe I’ll be one of those gold-winged larks you told me about, singing my silly head off to you; maybe, at times, I’ll be nothing you can see, but you will know I’m there beside you.

She wants her brother and her parents to remember her as she was in her life rather than “the other way,” which refers to the way her body will be affected when it is out in space. Though the entire story is quite sad, this part is the most filled with emotion and, for me, the most difficult part to get through.

What helps me get through that part is to remind myself that here on Earth, we have options. This type of situation in which only one option exists does not typically arise in real life. The setting of the story—a space ship on a mission to deliver medicine—is unrealistic if not impossible today. Though there are real life situations in which a person’s life has to be sacrificed for the greater good (such as war), there probably cannot be, and will never be, a situation where a young girl has to die in such a cold and calculated manner. On Earth, we have learned to come up with creative solutions to problems so that if a situation like this were to occur, we would find a way out of it. I like to believe that, as humans, we do everything we can to spare the lives of the innocent at any costs.

Online learning poses some challenges to students in developing countries like Ghana. Write your own experience, discuss four ch
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

Find the challenges and explanations below.

Explanation:

Online learning, mostly in Africa, is a recent invention in education which involves the use of the internet in virtual learning. While this is a welcome development especially given the recent pandemic because of the advantage of limited contact with people, this mode of learning is also characterized by different challenges.

Personally, the challenges I have encountered while using this system of learning in Ghana, include;

1. Poor Internet Connectivity: I have observed that most times when I use online learning platforms I encounter poor internet connectivity which could sometimes be entirely lost during a learning session. This is a huge limitation as it hampers the learning process. This poor internet connectivity could arise from poor weather conditions and could make users struggle to see or hear themselves.

2. The High Cost of Data: Data in Africa is still relatively expensive. Online learning consumes a lot of data and the data vendors charge huge rates for limited data plans. As a student, it is most times difficult to achieve purchase data. So, it is possible to run out of data while learning.

3. Irregular power supply: Electricity is a basic need that Africans are yet to stabilize and ensure that their citizens experience an uninterrupted supply of the same. Electricity is not stable in the rural area where I live in Ghana. So, an online learning session can be marred when there is a power outage in between classes.

4. Limited interaction with teachers: Unlike the face-to-face classroom experience where students can freely interact with teachers, the online learning platforms afford just limited interaction with our teachers. Given that we are managing the limited resources to hold these classes, teaching is quite snappy.

In actuality, this is a good development in Africa, and just as with every other new invention or start-up, there are challenges. So as time progresses, better ways should and would be developed by the government to ensure an improved online learning experience.
