Abraham Lincoln spoke out against the war n was a member of the Whig party which opposed the Manifest Destiny.

John Adams was long dead.

This answer is false the pilgrims in their first winter were often killed by many bad diseases this caused many of them to die during their first winter however they soon became resistant to these diseases and then when the revolutionary war came along the british or as they called them the red coates were getting the same diseases that the pilgrims got during their first winter which kill many of the british and ended up allowing the pilgrims to win the war the diseases killed thousands but then also let a new nation be born.
