If a sequence is arithmetic, it will be linear.  This does not appear to be a linear graph.
Therefore, I would conclude that it is not arithmetic.
Another way to tell is if the y - values have a common difference for consecutive x values.
For example, from term 1 to term 2 the difference is 5 but from term 2 to term 3 clearly the difference is not 5

Which represent geometric sequences? check all that apply.
Shtirlitz [24]

Only three are geometric sequences, a which is 3/16, 3/8, 3/4, 3/2, d which is 3,9,27,81 and f which is -4(4/9)^x

<h3>What is a geometric sequence?</h3>

A geometric sequence is a sequence of numbers or functions in which successive member differ by a constant term called the common ratio.

Analysis:

For a, the first term is 3/16, second term is 3/8. if we divide the second term by the first we have 2. If we do same with the third and second we still have 2. so this is a geometric sequence

For d, if we divide 9 by 3 we have 3, if we divide 27 by 9 we have 3. so this is a geometric sequence.
For f, if we make x equal to a nonzero integer, we have first term as -16/9, second term as -64/81 and third term as -256/729. if we divide the second term by the first we have -4/9, if we divide the third by the second we have-4/9.

In conclusion, Only three are geometric sequences, a which is 3/16, 3/8, 3/4, 3/2, d which is 3,9,27,81 and f which is -4(4/9)^x

Find the slope of the line<br><br>-4<br>-1/4<br>1/4<br>4
viva [34]
Find 2 "easy" points on the graph, and identify their coordinates.  One such point would be (-4,1) and another would be (4,2).

run = 8 (from -4 to +4)
rise = 2 (from 0 to 2)

              rise           2
slope = ------- = -------- = 1/4                   y-intercept is (0,1)
               run          8

equation of this line is   thus   y = mx + b, or   y = (1/4)x + 1  (answer)

4) The cost C, in dollars, for Domino's Pizza delivered depends on the number p, of pizzas ordered.
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

Function rule is given as C = 7p + 3

To complete the table, substitute each value of p given and find C.

✔️Number of pizza (p) = 0 [first row]:

Substitute 0 for p into C = 7p + 3

C = 7(0) + 3 = 0 + 3

Cost ($) (C) = 3

(p, C) order pairs = (0, 3)

✔️Number of pizza (p) = 1 [second row]:

Substitute 1 for p into C = 7p + 3

C = 7(1) + 3 = 7 + 3

Cost ($) (C) = 10

(p, C) order pairs = (1, 10)

✔️Number of pizza (p) = 2 [first row]:

Substitute 2 for p into C = 7p + 3

C = 7(2) + 3 = 14 + 3

Cost ($) (C) = 17

(p, C) order pairs = (2, 17)

✔️Number of pizza (p) = 3 [first row]:

Substitute 3 for p into C = 7p + 3

C = 7(3) + 3 = 21 + 3

Cost ($) (C) = 24

(p, C) order pairs = (3, 24)

Which equation has x = -i and x = = 21v3 as two of its solutions?
Drupady [299]

Answer:

The equation in option A is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation

\:y=x^4+13x^2+12

Let us find the solution by setting y=0

x^4+13x^2+12=0\:\:\:\:\:

\mathrm{Rewrite\:the\:equation\:with\:}u=x^2\mathrm{\:and\:}u^2=x^4

u^2+13u+12=0

if ab=0\:\mathrm{then}\:a=0\:\mathrm{or}\:b=0\:\left(\mathrm{or\:both}\:a=0\:\mathrm{and}\:b=0\right)

u+1=0\quad \mathrm{or}\quad \:u+12=0

u=-1,\:u=-12

\mathrm{Substitute\:back}\:u=x^2,\:\mathrm{solve\:for}\:x

x^2=-1,\:x^2=-12

solving

x^2=-1

\mathrm{For\:}x^2=f\left(a\right)\mathrm{\:the\:solutions\:are\:}x=\sqrt{f\left(a\right)},\:\:-\sqrt{f\left(a\right)}

x=\sqrt{-1},\:x=-\sqrt{-1}

x=i,\:x=-i            ∵ \:\sqrt{-1}=i

solving

x^2=-12

\mathrm{For\:}x^2=f\left(a\right)\mathrm{\:the\:solutions\:are\:}x=\sqrt{f\left(a\right)},\:\:-\sqrt{f\left(a\right)}

x=\sqrt{-12},\:x=-\sqrt{-12}

x=2\sqrt{3}i,\:x=-2\sqrt{3}i

Hence, the solutions are:

x=i,\:x=-i,\:x=2\sqrt{3}i,\:x=-2\sqrt{3}i

Therefore, the equation in option A is correct.
