Blowout is a shallow depression caused by deflation.

<u>Explanation:</u>

When depressions are caused due to the removal of sediments by the movement of winds ,they are called Blowouts. Clay and minute particles when picked up by the wind and may be disposed till many kilometres . They then settle and form deposits which may vary in diameter.  

The Big Hollow in Wyoming is a very remarkable example of blowout caused by deflation and has a length of about 14.5km and a depth of 50m.
