Now according to the passage, the writers develops the theme of insubordination in both excerpts.

In the first one, the writer justifies this by mentioning how Lucifer "fell through sin." Since Lucifer didn’t obey the laws of God, hence he is sent to Hell.

In the second case, the writer justifies this by mentioning how Adam in subordinated God by eating from the forbidden tree. Since Adam was not allowed to eat that so in its punishment Adam was sent in Hell.
