Social pressure can be good and it can be bad. Like most things it has a good and bad side. For one thing social pressure to go to an event when you are staying inside is good because you may need to get out of the house and be with friends when you don’t even know you should. Also, there are times when you are unsure you made the right descision that was caused by peer pressure, but there are many instances in which you look back on these seemingly scary descisions and think back and realize it was totally worth it. But peer pressure can be very bad. It can lead to hasty descisions that get you in trouble, it could even lead to suicidal thoughts and suicide. For example, drugs or smoking (weed, vaping etc.). There can be two different kinds of pressure. Direct and indirect (these are the main kinds of peer pressure people feel). One thing may be that all of your friends are underaged drinking which makes you want to do the same because you feel that pressure because everyone else is doing it. And then there is direct pressure, when you are asked and pressured into a situation you don’t want to be in. And if you’re under too much pressure... you might just want to end it all. Pressure is good to push you into things you may not want to do at first, but in that same way it can cause harm.

Honestly this is my opinion and I definitely missed a few things but I hope this helps!

What do you think Tennyson is saying about the role of the artist and the connection of the artist to his or her society? Cite e
spayn [35]

Answer:

Explanation:

Tennyson is saying that the woman, the "Lady of Shalott," is representing the soul of an artist, who sees the world through a lens, or in her case a mirror, and puts out an beautiful piece of work. In her words this beautiful piece of work is a tapestry "with colors gay."

When the woman turns around and actually sees the world, everything falls apart and her art is compromised because of the falling apart. Tennyson is saying that an artist is an important part of the society, but even after being so important an artist cannot have direct contact. An artist must only observe society with the help of an artist's lens and to produce successful art.
