John Locke was interested in the world of science. His Two Treatises on Government, written before the Glorious Revolution of 1688, was published after William and Mary came to the throne and served as a defense of the revolution as well as a basis for the English Bill of Rights.

Locke argued that man is born free in nature, although as society gets more advanced, government is needed to organize this society. Because humans are free and rational entities, when they enter into a social contract with the state, they do not give up their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and property. Should an oppressive government challenge those rights, people have a right to rebel.

Knowing this knowledge of John Locke, the best answer would be:

D. A king forces farmers to send him most of their crops to be distributed among wealthy nobles.

Why D?

This is because the king is using forced authority to take away a farmer's crops or his property without the consent of the farmer.

Was it possible for the US to definitively win the Vietnam war?
Zanzabum

Answer:

When talking about the Vietnam War, it is necessary to make a distinction between the military results and the social impact of the conflict. Thus, in 1973, when the Vietnam War came to an end with an American defeat, things were going relatively well for the United States in the military field. In other words, several victories had been obtained in specific battles, although the guerrilla war continued to cause several headaches for the American soldiers. Therefore, the war was ended rather by antiwar social pressure that saw the conflict as a meaningless conflict in which America had no genuine interest and in which the lives of young Americans had no reason to be risked. Therefore, if it had not given in to social pressure, most likely America would have ended up winning the war.

Do you believe warfare should be used to gain more territory and achieve your national interests? Explain.
zhenek [66]

Answer:

Yes, manifest destiny means we should dominate all smaller and weaker nations. Social Darwinism says that the  strongest race will survive, therefore it is our natural duty to conquer smaller, weaker nations.
