Miss Quested has the following quasi-linear utility function over bread (b) and housing (h): U(b, h) = 2b1/2 + h Assume that Mis

Answer:

For b = 16 and h = 2, Miss Quested will get the maximum utility

Explanation:

Total income = $24

Price of bread = $1 per unit

Price of housing = $4 per unit

----

Constraint on Income: b + 4*h = 24

Maximizing U(b,h) = 2*(b)^(0.5) + h = 2*b^0.5 + (6 - b/4)

To calculate maximum utility, we solve for b for which

1. derivate of function = 0

2. double derivate = negative (< 0)

Step 1: Derivate = 0 => d(U)/db = 2*(1/2)*b^(-0.5) - 1/4 = 0

=> 1/b = (-1/4)^2 = 1/16

Step 2: Double Derivate < 0 => d2(U)/db^2 = (-0.5)*b^(-1.5) = Negative !

Why do economists generally favor deregulation of most industries?
Kazeer [188]
Sorry this description is a bit confusing but i couldn't really think of a way to phrase it properly :)

most economists believe that deregulation has the potential to be helpful because the fact that things aren't regulated by the government increases competition in people selling the same wares, which normally ends up lowering the price of that specific good and/or improving the quality of the good drastically (which means more people will be buying, it whatever it may be, which is good for the economy)

Utica Company’s net accounts receivable was $250,000 at December 31, 2016, and $300,000 at December 31, 2017. Net cash sales for
dexar [7]

Answer:

Total Net Sales = $1475000

Explanation:

Average Accounts Receivables = (250000 + 300000) / 2

Average Accounts Receivables = 275000

Accounts Receivables Turnover = Credit sales / Average Accounts Receivables

So,

5 = Credit Sales / 275000

5 * 275000 = Credit Sales

Credit Sales = $1375000

Total Sales = Credit Sales + Cash Sales

Total Sales = 1375000 + 100000 = $1475000

Which style of interaction might seem to be the only way for couples whose backgrounds are completely irreconcilable to survive?
Andrej [43]

The style of interaction might seem to be the only way for couples whose backgrounds are completely irreconcilable to survive is obliteration style.

Some couples will try the obliteration fashion. In this situation, each partner tries to erase or obliterate their authentic cultures and create a brand new “subculture” with new beliefs, values, and behaviors.

Style of interaction for an intercultural couple in which both companions try and erase their character cultures.

Culture is a prime component that transforms passionate love into romantic love. Cultural values and traditional behaviors affect the expressions and reports of love and transfer passionate love as primarily based on a sexual attraction into romantic love as an idealized and culturally affected manner of loving.
