Answer:

For b = 16 and h = 2, Miss Quested will get the maximum utility

Explanation:

Total income = $24

Price of bread = $1 per unit

Price of housing = $4 per unit

----

Constraint on Income: b + 4*h = 24

Maximizing U(b,h) = 2*(b)^(0.5) + h = 2*b^0.5 + (6 - b/4)

To calculate maximum utility, we solve for b for which

1. derivate of function = 0

2. double derivate = negative (< 0)

Step 1: Derivate = 0 => d(U)/db = 2*(1/2)*b^(-0.5) - 1/4 = 0

=> 1/b = (-1/4)^2 = 1/16

Step 2: Double Derivate < 0 => d2(U)/db^2 = (-0.5)*b^(-1.5) = Negative !

Even if a firm has developed a product that addresses the needs of a specific, substantial market segment, its efforts will fail
enyata [817]

Answer:

Unreachable

Explanation:

Unreachable segment or market is the one, where the firm or the organization is unable to sold their goods and services and could earn profit out of it.

So, even though the firm has developed the product and the service, which also addresses or has the needs of the particular, segment of substantial market, then their efforts might fail if the segment or the market is unreachable for them, because they could not able to sold their products.

Cash                                  135,604 debit

Due from factor account:      7,735 debit

Loss on Factoring                18,081 debit

        Recourse Liability                    6,720 credit

        Accounts Receivable          154,700 credit

--to record sales of account receivables--

Explanation:

fee: 154,700 x 3% = 4,641

retention: 154,700 x 5% = 7,735

recourse: 6,720

The company will receive cash for the difference between his account receivable and the discount above:

154,700 - 4,641 - 7,735 - 6,720 = 135.604‬

We post the retention as an assets as latter we will recove this amount.

Then, the recourse as a liaiblity. Write-off the receivables and later, the cash receipts.

The difference will be considered a loss.

You have been asked to review the December 31, 2021, balance sheet for Champion Cleaning. After completing your review, you list
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

Investment of 36,000 - long-term asset

16,000 note payable - current liability

144,000 note payable - non-current liability

Deferred revenue of 52,000 - current liability

Deferred revenue of 26,000 - non-current liability

Explanation:

For the investment amounting to 36,000, it should belong to the long-term asset since the management has no intention of liquidating it next year. For the note payable, only the amount maturing next year should be classified in the current liability.

The excess amount of the note payable should be classified in the long-term liability since its maturity amount will be paid for the next years to follow.

The deferred revenue amounting to 78,000 should be partly current liability and partly non-current liability since only two-thirds of it will be recognized next year and the other one-third will be recognized in the following years.

Megan purchased a new vehicle for $40,000. She put $5,000 down and financed the $35,000 balance over 5 years. What is the impact
Zolol [24]

Answer: c. Her net worth remains the same.

Explanation:

Her Net worth would be her assets less her liabilities.

Her added Assets would be the new vehicle less the amount she put down for it as this would reduce her cash holdings.

Her added liabilities would be the amount she owes from buying the car

= Net Assets - Liabilities

= ( 40,000 - 5,000 ) - 35,000

= $0

The addition to her Net Worth is zero so her net worth remains the same.
